Anyone living outside a city should be aware of the regulations, their own responsibilities for controlling the spread of fire and have a 'plan' for coping with it should it ever happen.
There was a general push to clear back land and create fire breaks after the serious fires last year.

Fire Prevention
Re: Fire Prevention
The information on that website is not only informative but it is also accurate, however I would advise saving the information it contains. Talking to the author they are unsure how long they will keep it running, it was created by them to counter the social media misinformation that followed the fires of 2017, they have to pay an annual fee to the host server which is ever increasing and ensuring the information is up to date takes a lot of their time.
