I have a question please dont laugh : if I learn the Brazilian Portuguese I can understand Portuguese spoken in Portugal , right ?

Probably not immediately- given that many Brazilian tourists have trouble!!

Brazilian and European Portuguese are the same, but different...... just like US & UK English. The grammar is similar, but many common words and expressions are different - and there are even "false friends", plus, of course, the pronunciation is very different.

Due to TV, most Portuguese will understand Brazilian vocab, but you might be left clueless when they speak to you....
